In her pursuit for freedom – her highest value – she turned all her companies remote in 2014. This led to happiness, engagement and high-performance resulting in three multi-million dollar exits. This decision drastically impacted her life – and those that were working for her. It would become a move that would set her on a trajectory that finds her now at the forefront of the remote work meets conscious culture and conscious leadership movement. A move that now has the potential to impact people all across the globe.
It was in 2019 – driven by a desire to create more opportunity for all people to live the kind of freedom-driven, fulfilling life that she was experiencing – that she conceptualized Growmotely, the world’s first global platform for remote conscious work that connects professionals to culture-conscious companies.
Upon securing funding for the technology development in 2020, Sarah began assembling her team – Theodora (based in Romania) as CMO; Cass (based in Nigeria at the time) as COO; Chris (based in the US) as CTO; and Apple (based in the Philippines) as CFO. A company was born!
As COVID took over the world in the first half of 2020, we saw the world of work turn overwhelmingly remote – and fast. This accelerated exponentially the demand for what Growmotely was offering the world, and the company has expanded accordingly – now at 23 team members, distributed worldwide.
What began as a keenness to extend the opportunity of a fulfilling way of living and working with as many like minded folks as possible, has now expanded into a work and lifestyle revolution that is moving beyond a platform and is becoming its own thriving ecosystem. It is beyond us now; we – and you – are its stewards. It’s time to bring the power of remote work + consciousness to business globally.
