In this episode of Lead Gen HQ you’ll learn that the purpose of a Landing Page is to capture leads and data to convert into a sale.
You may not need a landing page.
I say this because I’ve worked with many solopreneurs and artists over the years who had no desire to generate a sale or a lead on their website. The only reason they had a website was to tell visitors their story. If this is the case for you, then you should reconsider. I like to compare a landing page to a sales flyer or a postcard. The purpose is to help people focus on a single message. Whereas, a brochure will promote multiple products.
The same can be said for a website vs a landing page. The landing page is a mini version of the website with a specific goal to highlight one thing. A landing page is actionable. For those who have multiple products and services, you need to build a landing page for every product and service. The good news is you can usually get away with duplicating the design and simply editing the copy and images. If you’re looking to give your customers an elevated experience you should consider building dynamic landing pages. These landing pages are programmed to give the user a customized experience depending on what location they’re visiting from, what time, what device, etc.
